About john

John has spent decades in the entertainment industry working as a writer, performer, organizer, and everything in between. John’s early career working. as a writer for Columbia Records afforded him the opportunity to connect with talented musicians and other industry professionals; learning the ins and outs of the recording and publishing industries at a young age.

The next stage of John’s career came in the form of working as a recording vocalist for one of the most prominent names in the music industry at the time, Bob Crewe. Recording music for Crewe gave John a new perspective and focus around getting the right sound that was missing as a writer. John knew that his true passion was producing music and doing so with so many other talented musicians. his time spent in the studio as a professional musician tuned both his artistry and his mind, and gave John the confidence and experience necessary to move to the next stage of his journey.

John has a long list of credits to his name in his career, but none of that is what defines him as an artist and musician. The Writer’s Room and recording studio were not enough for John, and his desire to be part of and shape the culture surrounding music and art, became more important. Organizing his own Avant-Garde art gallery shows that he performed in, John wanted to perform and push the boundaries of convention at each opportunity. John loved to connect with an audience and he was now able to do that through song writing, producing, and performing live. John also performed in Jazz clubs across the country doing vocal impressions of various stars like Johnny Mathis, Ray Charles, Nat Cole, and many more. With his growing list of talented collaborators and fellow visionaries, John is still working as a writer, producer, and performer. The harmony between those three aspects is why John is still working today, and still has such a passion to do so.

Now based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John records his music at Red Caiman with Jesse Naus. He is active in both the local and European music scenes through Banner records where he will be producing for John Anthony. His ever-growing catalog of works includes styles of Blues, Electronic, Country, Alternative Rock, and everything in between. In 2023, he completed filming his first music video for the song In the Wee Small Hours which is available now. The project was a massive success. John worked in collaboration with Y&H Productions. Despite being in the industry for many years, John still strives to innovate his sound and method to provide music that is both timeless and modern.
